CCB Offers New Long-Term Frozen Egg Storage

Los Angeles, CA (June 1, 2005) - California Cryobank Inc. (CCB), the leading U.S. and international sperm bank, now offers long-term storage of frozen eggs (oocytes) to provide additional reproductive options for CCB clients.

Client's eggs are harvested and frozen at their local medical facility and then shipped to California Cryobank's long-term facility in liquid nitrogen. A California Cryobank counselor works with each client, and their medical facility, via phone or in person, to coordinate shipment of frozen eggs to CCB for long-term storage. Frozen eggs are then kept secure until clients are ready to retrieve and use them.

"CCB clients will benefit from our Long-Term Frozen Egg Storage program because it will provide them with an option to store their eggs with a company who has a staff dedicated to the maintenance and administration of the storage program," said Nolberto Delgadillo, Storage Client Manager for California Cryobank. "This will take the administrative burden off of the staff at the physician's office, whose primary responsibility is patient care."
